Beware of persons fraudulently presenting themselves as Inline Skating Instructors!
To become certified, instructors must take training in the most contemporary and safest teaching methods/inline skating techniques. They must also pass exams for both their blading and teaching ability (through either the Skate Instructor’s Association - SKATE IA, United Skate Schools Group-USSG, or the International Inline Skating Association-IISA) and must maintain their accreditation through training upgrades. Inline Skaters considering becoming future instructors are encouraged to take pre-course lessons from Senior Certified Instructors prior to taking their formal Instructor.
To find a list of the world’s currently certified instructors, look up www.skateia.org or www.iisa.org. For further instructor references talk to your local Inline Skate Shops.
